Ordered these for my Halo Flashpoint minis and they're phenomenal. My order got messed up by fulfillment originally but when I reached out to the Crystal Fortress Team they were quick to communicate and send me replacement product, they even through in extra bases for the trouble! Thanks CF!!

I’ve been looking for supplies to make proxy tokens for Relic Knights since they’re out of print and some never got made. I’m used to 25mm and 50mm bases, but RK uses 80/50/40/30mm bases which were hard to find locally or very expensive and I needed a lot for all 8 factions. Stumbled upon Crystal Fortress and the bases were significantly cheaper than every other supplier and had the exact sizes I needed in reasonable denominations. Even with ordering extra bases I ended up paying 50% compared to my next preferred option (mdf bases). So glad I went with Crystal Fortress!

The bases are chunky 3mm thick and it was easy to just glue cardstock and paper printouts to the back with a glue stick to get very nice proxy tokens. The tokens have nice heft and are sturdy and feel like poker chips when holding a stack. Incidentally this makes them very easy to pick up and move around which is important for me as RK is a skirmish game and I was worried proxy tokens would be too thin or hard to pick up.

If I had ordered more I would sandwich a cutout between two bases for a nice chunky 6mm thick unit for the leaders of a cadre, but maybe another day.

Out of hundreds of bases I ordered the only ‘dud’ was one 80mm base that came without the film and it was a little scratched up, but still worked for my purposes.

The tokens are almost 100% true to size. They certainly match each other. I think they at most have under 0.5mm variance when comparing to the retail bases I was trying to proxy, which is suitable for me.

Unlike cabochons for jewelry making these have clear outlines (important for skirmish games) and store efficiently.

I haven’t played with them yet but just with handling with storage and crafting I’m not overly concerned with scratches or nicks.

Given how great these look and how easy it was to make the tokens I may consider using the extras to make custom tokens for other games.

Update to my review, They got back in contact with me and sent the right bases immediately without need of proof and gave me tips for getting the film off. Solid customer service and the bases look amazing. Can't wait to have the proper ones on my army

I first started using the Crystal Fortress round bases in 3 sizes, for mounting 3mm PicoArmor WW2 miniatures on, in grouped units of 3-5 miniatures. I wanted the bases to be clear, so I could see the terrain mat through the bases (and therefore not needing to flock the base tops themselves). This worked great for my 3mm game project. Along the way, I thought the bases could also be used for game counters too, since I like the thickness and feel of the acrylic bases. With some custom-sized, prepared and prinrted artwork, that I've punched out with a hobby tool to the size of the clear base tops (their diameter), I have made up over 50 stylish game chits for a 3D conversion project of the old Battle Masters game - the new chits substituting for the original game's activation cards.
When you find a good product, sometimes you find more ways to use it than was originally intended (the Crystal Fortress clear bases are excellent)!

I like basing my minis, sometimes getting pretty elaborate. Unfortunately, this can make them not fit in with terrain. Like, "why is there a tree stump, grass, and a cactus in the middle of every part of the dungeon this dwarf walks through?" Enter: clear bases. Now, you just see the mini in whatever environment. The one downside, "why is that dwarf floating 6 inches above the floor?" These guys are pretty thick as bases go. So, they're pretty good, but not perfect.
